This course consists of:

• level 2 NVQ Diploma in Decorative Finishing and Industrial Painting.
• Level 2 Diploma in Painting and Decorating.
• Functional Skills in English.
• Functional skills in Maths.

This course contains all aspects of Painting & Decorating including units in:

• Exploring Painting and Decorating.
• Performing Paperhanging Operations.
• Performing Decorating Operations.
• Exploring Building Services Techniques in Construction.

The course will be split into 4 main areas:

• Practical Training, preparing and painting the bays within the training centre.
• Theory, learning all aspects involved in Painting & Decorating.
• Work Experience, using the skills learned in the training centre on a real painting and decorating site/project.
• Functional Skills within Numeracy & Literacy. This is only required for students who haven't completed Key Skills Level 1 in Numeracy and Literacy previously or achieved Grades A - C in Maths and English at GCSE.
